These are a few things about our wines that are either nice to know or useful to know:
Dietary preferences
All of our wines are made to suit pretty much any dietary preference so that you can serve them with confidence on any occasion. No gluten, no animal products ( even the sugar we use to stimulate the secondary fermentation is certified organic and vegan) no nasties.
We pride ourselves on the purity of our wines, we don’t even use benign additives such as enzymes in our winemaking.
Sulphites
All wines have naturally occurring sulphites as well as added sulphites to keep the wine clean and stable. In our wines the sulphite content is as low as we can get it: That’s just enough to be protective and ensure the quality of your glassful.
Wine flavours
Grapes contain flavour compounds that echo the flavours of other fruits and you will quite frequently find a wine being described using the familiar favours of other fruits to express its character.
Broadly speaking :
Pinot noir - apples, strawberries, raspberries, redcurrants, cherries
Pinot Meunier - apples, plums, damsons, blueberries, blackberries
Chardonnay - apples, lemons, lemon meringue, nectarine
Pinot gris - baked apple, ginger, clove, honey
Our wines are only grown from grapes we grow ourselves. Our rich clay soils and hands-on viticulture allow to produce rich fruit flavours that are joyously delicous.
These wines contain alcohol and should be enjoyed responsibly.
